He was predeceased by : his father Rev. Benny Higginbotham; his brothers, Brett Oneal Higginbotham and Mathew Higginbotham; his son Jason Higginbotham; and his grandparents, Juanita Kemp, Willard Lee Ross, Sherman and Thelma Higginbotham.

He is survived by : his sisters, Cloressa Beatty and Veronica Higginbotham; and his stepfather Warren Darnell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles.
