She was predeceased by: her parents, Louie Mathews and Carol Mathews; her sibling Tracy Mathews; and her stepson A. J. Morris. She is survived by: her husband David Morris of Upper Glade; her children, Eric Bragg (Teresa) of Upper Glade and Nicole Roberts (Richard) of Sod; her brother Doug Mathews (Jennifer) of Virginia; her stepchildren, Douglas Morris of Florida and Dawn Deaton of Ohio; and her grandchildren, Dale, Danny, Jake, Maverick, Hope, Timmy, Ryan and Jarrod.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Morris Funeral Home (160 Railroad Ave W, Cowen, WV 26206). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at the Handschumacher Cemetery.
Her dedication extended beyond her military service; she made significant contributions to her community by working for Webster EMS and was a former member of the Cowen Volunteer Fire Department.
