With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Harold Leon Sholes (Cowen, West Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 27, 2026 at the age of 83. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Earl Sholes and Irene O'Quinn Sholes; his son Cecil Sholes; and his siblings, Eugene "Donie" Sholes, Kenneth Sholes, Libby Hayhurst and Elnora Morgan.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Hickman Sholes; his son Phillip Sholes of Craigsville; his daughter-in-law Charlotte Sholes of Craigsville; and his siblings, John Sholes of Francisville and Barbara Dodrill of Craigsville.
