She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Persinger Cooper and Clayton Cooper; her children, John L. Smith Jr. and Kathy Jane Smith; and her brothers, Charles Cooper, Gary Cooper and Donald Cooper.
She is survived by: her daughter Marsha K. Smith of Crab Orchard, WV; her close friend Sassy; and her siblings-in-law, Jean Cooper of MacArthur, WV, Faye Cooper of Crab Orchard and Jack Smith (Janice). She is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
