He was predeceased by: his parents, William Byrge and Nellie Sizemore Byrge; and his siblings, James, Bill Byrge, Betty Brown, Miriam Crouse and Helen Dunkinson.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Mason Byrge; his children, Shannon Jaggie (Lionel) of Belews Creek, NC, Kristi Mattox (Todd Goforth) of Thomasville, NC, Neil M. Byrge II of Crab Orchard, Jeremiah Byrge (Ashley) of Shady Spring and Kimberly Johns (Boomer) of Coal City; and his siblings, Shirley Robinson Miller of Beckley, Kay Akers of Maryland, Nancy Ibrihim of Tampa and Wilma Byrge of Florida.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel (729 Flat Top Rd, Shady Spring, WV 25918). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
