He was predeceased by: his father Joseph "Joe" Gunter; and his brother Joseph "Joey" Gunter. He is survived by: his mother Nettie McMillion Gunter; his wife Mary Gunter; his children, Anita Richmond (Jeffrey) of Pence Springs and David Gunter, Jr. (Michelle) of Rainelle; his siblings, Ricky Gunter (Jane) and Karen Gunter (Billy Joe); and his grandchildren, Kaden, Gabriel, Jamison, Jayden, Ralynn, Hunter, Evan and Bayne. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
