It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona Carol Bailey of Crawley, West Virginia, who passed away on December 14, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Leona departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Leona. Though Leona may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Meridith Lockhart and Martha Keene Lockhart; her husband Carl J. Bailey; her brothers, Edward Lockhart and James Lockhart; and her close friend Alma Cline.
She is survived by: her children, Marla Kay Weigel (Will) of Conway, SC, Enisha Evertte (Cliff) of Jacksonville, NC and Rocky Bailey (Kriss) of Rupert; her grandchildren, Andy Lockhart (Ann) of Alaska and Amanda Hill (Greg) of Conway, SC; and her children, Trista Bailey of Rupert, Carl Bailey (Courtney) of Crawley and Jeramy Bailey (Nicole) of Crawley.
