She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Andrew and Minnie Slate; her husband Edward D. Absten; her grandson Josh Absten; her great grandchild Emmi Rose Absten; and her siblings, Edith Waugh, Louise Barile, Linda Fabien, Virginia Mae McBrayer, Wanda Woodrum, Lee "Bubby" Slate, Jennings Slate and Virgil Slate.
She is survived by: her children, Edward L. Absten (Teresa) of Eleanor, Darry Casto (Lee) of Bancroft and Timothy Absten (Cheri) of Red House; her grandchildren, Harlan Casto (Nichole), Tressa Chapman, Meagan Absten Lewis, Adam Absten (Ashley) and Amber Absten; her great grandchildren, Kayden, Liam, Lilly, Adelyn, Ava, Jayce, Sutton and Reid; and her sisters, Dimple Casto and Faye Thornton. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, a host of family and friends.
