He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sawyers and Myrtle Sawyers; his wife Erma L; and his sisters, Lyla Harris (David "Corky" Harris) and Sheila Sawyers.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Sue Miller; his children, Carl Sawyers (Kimberly), Gary S. Sawyers (Christina) and Darlene Sawyers (Charlie); and his grandsons, Randy Sawyers, Patrick Sawyers (Kailea) and Jonathan Sawyers Being.
