She was predeceased by : her parents, Roscoe Brown and Laura Brown; her husbands, Sam Kazee and James L. McDonald; and her children, Judy Conner, Janet Lockridge, Lois Shamblen and Timothy McDonald.

She is survived by : her children, Wanda Erby, Samuel Kazee and Opal Cooper. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
