He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Small and Zelda Marie James (Roy); and his sister Pat Poling. He is survived by: his wife Latrella Small (Liller); his sons, William Michael Small, Jr. (Jessica Lynne) of Davis, Caleb Zachary Small (Katie) of Parsons and Prentice DeWayne Small of Taiwan; his grandsons, Lucian Elias and Samuel Barrett; and his sisters, Donna Mason of Thomas and Dolores Leavell of Apopka, FL..

A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Davis Cemetery.
