He is survived by : his wife Cheryl (Williamson); his children, Richard "Richie" Wons Jr. (Stacy) of Windsor, CO, Christine "Chrissy" Laas (Philip) of Silver Lake, WI and Sara Lyons (Scott) of Parkersburg, WV; his grandchildren, Kurt "Kurtie" Wagner III (Mary), Kathryn "Katie" Kramer (Marcus), Alexis "Alexi" Wagner, Brianna "Briann" Laas, Trevor Wons, Jasper Wons, Bonnie Lyons and Braelyn Lyons; his great grandchildren, Kurt Wagner IV and Oliver Kramer; his brother James Wons of Silver Lake, WI; his nephew Joseph Ferroli of Valencia, CA; and his godson Nicholas Ferroli of Fort Myers, FL..

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home (403 7th St, Parkersburg, WV 26101).
