He was predeceased by: his parents, Bacil Belt and Frances Wilkerson Belt; his wife Wanda Haag Belt; his son Arthur David Belt, Jr.; and his siblings, Rejeana Belt, Alice Anderson, Mollie Young, Judy Belt and Charles Belt.

He is survived by: his children, Rejeana Belt (Kirt Dooley) of Kanawha City, James Belt of Duck and Cody Belt (Erica) of Watertown, NY; his grandchildren, Seth Stewart (Courtney Bevins), Tyler Stewart, Joseph Stewart (Chantel Black), Kayla Mullins (Austin), Remington Belt and Delilah Belt; his great grandchildren, Emersyn Stewart, Lincoln Stewart, Harper Stewart and Colt Mullins; and his siblings, Debra Belt, Mary Belt Howard, Joe Belt, Tony Belt and Johnny Belt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
