He was predeceased by: his father Jefferson Ambrose Spears. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Spears of Dunbar; his children, Melody Carte (Roy), David Spears, Gregory Spears (Jennifer), Jessica Seabolt (Joey), Jeremy Ray (Amber), Lauren Wideman (Carlos) and Caleb Spears; and his siblings, Terrance Spears (Patsy) of Paducah, KY, Christopher Spears of Man and Nancy Pennington (Greg) of Leon. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Hubbard Hospice House West, 4605 MacCorkle Ave SW, South Charleston, WV 25309.
