He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Nutter and Pearl Amick Nutter; his wife Shirley Haney Nutter; his children, Barbara Stroud, Reuben and Thomas Kirk; and his grandchildren, Denise "Dee" Meddings, Ruben "Skipper" Kirk, Bobby Kirk and Clarence Stroud.
He is survived by: his children, Frances "Frankie" Marcum of Dunlow, WV and Bobby Meddings; and his foster son Mark Adkins of Florida. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Morris Funeral Home (79 Bridge St, Wayne, WV 25570). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Morris Funeral Home Chapel (79 Bridge St, Wayne, WV 25570).
