With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Lester Posten of Elizabeth, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 16, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Wanda Posten; his parents, Curt Posten and Nellie Posten; his siblings, David, Don Posten and Dorothy New; his stepdaughter Lorrie Burdette; and his nephew Tim Posten.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Wolfe Posten; his children, Tessa Simpson, Katy Posten and Carl Posten; his stepdaughter Debbie Loudermilk; his grandchildren, Wanda Cunningham, Bonnie Roe, Lindsay Holbert and David Loudermilk; and his great grandchildren, Macy Cunningham, Hartley and Micah Holbert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Snodgrass Funeral Home (4122 MacCorkle Ave SW, Charleston, WV 25309). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
