He is survived by: his wife Linda Lou Hardy; his children, Elizabeth Diane Carl of Gloucester, VA, James Alan Vest of Elkins and Rebecca Dani Vest of Elkins; his brother George David Vest (Marcia) of Churchville, VA; his grandchildren, Johnathan Edward Carl (Jessica) and Kari Amber Carl; his great grandchildren, Emmilen Elizabeth Huie and Liam Christopher Devers; his nieces, Sandi Irene Bryant of Ashley, NC and Melanie Lee Mingee of Hampton, VA; and his uncle Earl Robert Vest of Close Mountain.
