She was predeceased by: her parents, Shirley Eldren Channell and Opal Virginia Clair Channell; her spouse Dickie Deneal Pingley; her siblings, Donna Channell Kisner, Daniel Channell and Aaron "Pete" Channell; and her grandparents, Grover, Hattie Channell, David and Hester Clair.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Thompson (Gary) of Elkins, Rosemary Shaffer (Sam) of Elkins and Kris Elaine Clemens of Elkins; her siblings, Thomas "Nick" Channell (Lenora) and Sharon Jean Campbell (Richard) of Prince George, VA; her grandsons, Phil Isner of Elkins, Scott Clemens of Elkins and Cole Shaffer (Kaitlyn) of Morgantown, WV.; her great grandchildren, Dominic Cuningham (Ally), Braylee Meek, Greyson Isner and Thea Shaffer; and her nephew Paul Kisner.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tomblyn Funeral Home (45 Randolph Ave, Elkins, WV 26241). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the Mountain View Church of the Nazarene, RR 250, Huttonsville, WV 26273 in memory of Gail.
