He is survived by: his children, Michael Karlen (Susan) of Elkins, Schell Hopwood (Kurt) of Elkins and Scott Karlen (Lisa) of Elkins; his grandchildren, Jima Karlen (Jon), Amber Gainer (Cody), Kollin Hopwood (Katie), Karli Harlan (Cole), Alec Karlen (Hunter), Isabella Karlen (Ben) and Hudson; his great grandchildren, Andi, Karder, Max, Woods and Kooper; and his half-brother Terry Allen Carr (Brenda). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
