It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay Crissman of Elkins, West Virginia, born in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 19, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Crissman and Mabel Crissman. He is survived by: his son Jay; his wife Karen Patricia "Patty" Smith; his children, Seth Craig Crissman (Any) of Houston, TX, Thomas Lee Phillips (Lynn) of Gloucester, VA, Fae Marie Skuya (Robert) of Lancaster, PA, Lisa Dawn Caruso (Vincent J.) of Wheeling, WV and Sheela Kaye Cross (Brian) of Elkins; and his siblings, Steve Crissman of Angel Fire, NM and Carol Varner. He is also survived by Eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Masks and social distancing are recommended for anyone attending the services.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Randolph County Humane Society, P. O. Box 785, Elkins, WV 26241 or http://www.rchswv.org in memory of Dr. Crissman.

“I am so very sorry to hear of Jay's passing. He was such a wonderful person and I know he had to have been a great vet. He and I went to grade school, high school and college together. Although our lives took us in different directions, I saw him at several class reunions and he was the same down to earth guy he had always been. He will be missed by his loved ones and friends.
