He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery Ezra Thompson and Georgia Anna Arbogast Thompson; his son Sterling Keith Thompson; his grandson Nick Haddix; and his siblings, McClure, Eddie, Keith, Emery, Jr., Hucrim, Maurice, Rupert, JoAnn Stiles, Lorraine Tait and Frankie Irene Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Annabelle Lee Healey; his daughters, Carol L. "CoCo" McDaniel (Bill) of Beverly and Cathy Lorraine Haddix (Pete) of Elkins; his daughter-in-law Kimberly J. Thompson; and his grandchildren, Ted Haddix (Abby), Connie Lucas (Eric), Samantha Cusimano (Max), Natasha Daniels, Sterling Daniels, Chad Thompson, Kelsey Thompson and Daphne Thompson. He is also survived by several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
