He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Benner Spencer and Sue Taylor Spencer. He is survived by: his siblings, Paul Taylor Spencer (June) of Lavonia, GA, Donald Charles Spencer of Lubbock, Texas and Renee Ann Spencer (Steve Cooper) of Lexington, MA; and his nieces and nephews, Ryan Spencer, Michael Spencer (Tresa), Kyle Spencer, Taylor Cooper, Megan Jackson (Dustin) and Amanda Vaughn.
