He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Currence and Almira Currence; his wife Lillian DeGarmo Currence; and his siblings, Junior, Carrol, Jimmie, Lody, Buddy and Macel Tenney.
He is survived by: his siblings, Clyde of Buckhannon, Zella Pastine, Myrtle Beach, S. C., Eleanor DeMotto, Deloris Shank of Harrisonburg, VA and Mary Hall (Brockie) of Charlottesville, VA.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Tomblyn Funeral Home (45 Randolph Ave, Elkins, WV 26241). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
