She was predeceased by: her parents, James Albert Fortney, Sr. and Betty Lou Cutright Fortney; and her husband Dempsey Franklin Lambert, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Angela Mae Thompson (James) of Middle Mountain; her siblings, James Albert Fortney, II (Michelle) of Beverly, Roger Lee Fortney of Crystal Springs, Billy Ray Fortney (Esther) of Georgetown Road and Loretta Ann Lipscomb (Pat) of Elkins; her grandchildren, Trista Howell (Dalton) of Elkins, Shane, Drayden and Jasalyne Thompson; her close friend Lloyd Lambert, Sr. of Middle Mountain; her nephew Lloyd Lambert, Jr. (Lisa); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Alyssa and Ashley; her nephew John Lambert (Melissa); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jayden of Elkins and Little John of Elkins.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Elkins Memorial Gardens (Country Club Rd, Elkins, WV 26241).
