It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sherrie Lyne Curtis Smith of Elkins, West Virginia, who passed away on December 9, 2022, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bob Curtis and Maggie Tincher Thomas; her brother Chuck Curtis; her granddaughter Jaylynn; and her father-in-law Henry Floyd Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Christopher Wayne Smith; her children, Rocky Lee Wood (Jessica) of Mabie, James Edward Wood of Elkins, Sheryl Lyne Woods (Tim Cross) and Tabatha Nicole Herron (Joshua) of Huttonsville; her siblings, Brad Curtis (Bobbi) of Elkins and Pat McCarty of Elkins; her mother-in-law Virginia Magaline Smith of Montrose; and her grandchildren, Radin, Cayson, Trulee, Autumn, Jordan, Braden, Remington, Raelynn and Ryker. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
