It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hilda Mae Westfall of Elkview, West Virginia, who passed away on August 26, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Hilda may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Hilda touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband William (Bill); and her son Richard. She is survived by: her children, Laura Ann Melton (Timothy), Lea Jane Melton (Gregory) and Randall Lee Westfall. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Hafer Funeral Home (50 N Pinch Rd, Elkview, WV 25071). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
