He was predeceased by: his parents, James Donald and Willadeen Shamblin; his brothers, Donnie Shamblin and Jimmy Shamblin; and his sister-in-law Loretta Shamblin.

He is survived by: his wife Jenny Shamblin; his children, Cara Bare, Callie Thomas (Charles) and Luke Shamblin; his grandchildren, Bailey Bare, Carter Thomas, Callahan Thomas, William Bare and Crew Thomas; and his brother Daris Shamblin (Carolyn). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
