He was predeceased by: his parents, William Birthisel and Helen Birthisel; and his brothers, Keith Birthisel and Stephen Birthisel. He is survived by: his wife Mildred "Millie" Birthisel; his children, Kenneth G. Birthisel, Christina Raines and Cynthia; and his grandchildren, Amber, Joshua Birthisel, Steven McLaughlin, Shannon Toler, Matthew Raines and Makala Jones. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
