He is survived by: his wife Patsy Tawney; his siblings, Laken Tawney of Arizona, Joyce McBreyer (Chris) of Charleston, Clifford Tawney (Vernissa) of Indiana, Janet Townsend of St. Albans and Vickie Blankenship of Charleston; his stepdaughters, Jaime Pennington (Roy) of Charleston and Mary Beth Baldwin (Matthew) of Elkview; his grandchildren, Brittany (Frankie), Sara (Dallas), Roy Jr., Breanna and Elijah; and his great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Paisley, Baby Dallas and Little Frankie.

Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hafer Funeral Home (50 N Pinch Rd, Elkview, WV 25071). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
