He was predeceased by: his son Mark Shaffer Jr.; and his parents, Ellen Shaffer and Eugene Shaffer. He is survived by: his children, Corey Shaffer, Codey Shaffer, Sterling Gandee, Chase Mitchell, Casey Troy, Natalie Frye, Jeremiah Shaffer, Mason Epling and Lyddia. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hafer Funeral Home (50 N Pinch Rd, Elkview, WV 25071). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
