He was predeceased by: his father Norman Nelson; his wife Donna Stewart Hardway; his sister Margaret Diana McColl; and his granddaughter Amber Dawn Radcliff. He is survived by: his mother Margaret Burgess Hardway; his siblings, Jim Hardway of Monroe County, Joe Hardway of Malden, Brenda Story (Bob) of Florida and Linda Marcum (Oscar) of North Carolina; and his granddaughters, Tiffany and Samantha Radcliff. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
