He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Hammond and Elsie Sandy Hammond; his wife Sharon Hammond; and his brothers, Bill and Herb Hammond.
He is survived by: his sons, James "Jimmy" Hardman of Camden, Jerry Hammond (Rhonda) of Patrick Springs, VA, Richard "Dave" Hammond of Camden and John Hammond (Tammy) of Camden; and his close friend Judy Fisher of Clarksburg. He is also survived by four grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
