He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Smith and Freda Smith (Dean); his daughter Melinda Dailey; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Dailey, Ryan Dailey, Trey Dailey and William Smith; his siblings, Albert Smith Jr., Denny Smith, Freda Smith and Sonya Barker; his siblings' children, Pete Turner, Jinx Adkins and Trish Chafin; and his brother-in-law Eddie Turner.
He is survived by: his wife Christina Smith; his children, Charles Ray Smith Jr. (Amara) and Shanda Nichole Smith (Bub); and his sisters, Carol McCauley (Tim), Lois Turner and Kathy Adkins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Collins Funeral Home (5452 Jerry W Hwy, Switzer, WV 25647). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (169 Forest Lawn Cemetery Rd, Pecks Mill, WV 25547).
