David Sapp Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Sapp of Fairmont, West Virginia, who passed away on December 3, 2021, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Sapp, Jr. and Mary Fisher Sapp; his grandparents, Barney, Sophie Fisher and Zelda Sapp; his friend Tom Harless; and his nephews, Aaron Swiger of Rivesville and Joshua Keith Sapp of Rivesville.

He is survived by: his cousin Joey; his close friend Toni Vessecchia of Fairmont; his siblings, Sherman Sapp of Fairmont, Sharon Louise Cox of Fairmont, Susan Layman of Fairmont and Rose Marie Sapp of Fairmont; his uncle Frank (Vivian Fisher); his nieces and nephews, Cassandra Sapp of Rivesville, Kayla Antonk of Fairmont, Gabe Antonk and Ianie Antonk; Alani. He is also survived by caregiver for both of his parents, as well as his grandparents.

Friends and family are asked to wear masks and maintain social distancing when they visit on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 2PM until 8PM at the Rivesville Community Building, 200 Jasper Street, Rivesville, and on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 11AM until 1PM.

Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Fairmont Senior High School, Girls' Basketball Team, 1 Loop Park Drive, Fairmont, WV 26554. The family would like to thank all the friends and family for their memorial donations and reaching out with their words of sympathy and condolences.
