He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Varner and Goldie I. Brewer Varner; his siblings, Raymond "Skieze" Varner, Charles Varner, Jr., Ruby "Sis" Hemmer, Ira "Buck" Varner and Richard Varner; and his half-sister Betty Skedel.
He is survived by: his daughter Misty; and his siblings, Ralph Varner, Everett Varner and Ethel "Toots" Varner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Smith Funeral & Cremation Care (108 Holland Ave, Westover, WV 26501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Olive Cemetery.
