She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Layne and Mary Jackson Layne; her husband Joseph J. Kubiet Jr.; her siblings, Betty Bowyer (Ed), JoAnne Snider (Bill), Margaret Faber, Robert Layne, Johnny Layne, Charles Layne (June), David Layne (Jo) and Bradley Layne (Alice); and her brother-in-law Charles Alkire.
She is survived by: her sisters, Carol Elliott (Ronald) of Millfall and Judy Alkire of Fairmont; her siblings-in-law, Charles Russell of Fairmont and JoAnn Layne of Farmington; and her nieces, Stacey Ruppert (Mike) of Bruceton Mills and Cristy Layne of Fairmont. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was a member of the Carolina Extension Homemakers and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society.
