With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Katherine JoAn Stemple (Fairmont, West Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 18, 2024 at the age of 77. She was predeceased by : her parents, Mary Frances Travelute and Wilson Jennings McElroy; her brother Donald McElroy; her children, Donald Paul Erdie and Leah Ann Erdie; and her granddaughter Margaret Amaris Erdie (Maggie).

She is survived by : her brother Rick McElroy; her children, Samuel Stemple (Christen), Daniel Stemple (Angela), Jack Erdie, Joseph Erdie, Mara Greenleaf (Joe) and Joshua Erdie; her grandchildren, Renéea Erdie, Joey, Christian Erdie, Trey, Elijah, Adam Hetrick, Olivia Hall, Thaddeus and Gianna Stemple; and her great grandchildren, Alan, Jacob, Sarah Hetrick, Clementine Hetrick and Gracelynn June Scritchfield. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Domico Funeral Home, Inc. (414 Gaston Ave, Fairmont, WV 26554). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
