She is survived by: her children, Maria Cottingham-Dukes (Steven) of Fairmont, Shirley Cottingham of Fairmont, Michael Cottingham (Ashley) of Fairmont and Donald Cottingham (Desiree) of Clarksburg; her grandchildren, Maliyah Cottingham, Shonetta Cottingham, Somaya Cottingham, Zariah Cottingham, Anthony Cottingham, Antonio Cottingham, Tremaine Cottingham, Tobias Cottingham and Peyton Barker; her great grandchildren, Brooklyn Barker, Kieshawn Cottingham, Azlynn Cottingham, Jaden Cottingham, Javier Davison, Aliyah Cottingham, Jonathon Cottingham, Janiyah Gonzales, Zariah Carp and Tayvon Cottingham; her nephew Clarence Akers Jr.; her sisters, Viola Akers and Retha Carter; her cousin Louise Speigner; her brother Ernest Burt; and her nephew Anthony Akers. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
