It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Jo DeVito (Fairmont, West Virginia), who passed away on February 4, 2026, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicola Carni and Barbara Carni; her former husband Edward DeVito; her sons, Edward Michael DeVito (Rusty) and Matthew Steven DeVito; her in-laws, Doris Serge DeVito and Matteo DeVito; her siblings, Julia DeVito, Jim Carni, Joe Carni and John Carni; and her siblings-in-law, Eugene, Paul DeVito, Dan Lusk, Kenny Walsh, Tommy Kabulski, Madeline Walsh, Julie Kabulski, Stella DeVito and Dolly Carni.
She is survived by: her husband Big Ed; her daughter Cathie (David Metheny); her daughter-in-law Cathe DeVito of Virgina; her grandchildren, Michael DeVito of Pittsburgh, PA, Anne Marie DeVito (Nick Sangermano) of New York City, Nicolena Alushin (Cody) of Pittsburgh and Anthony DeVito of Fairmont; her great grandchildren, Bronson Matthew Wylie, Bowie Alan Alushin and Dante Matthew Sangermano; and her sister Barbara Lusk. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
