He is survived by: his father Claude Linville Chaney; his wife Juanita Cecile Cochran Chaney; his children, Robert "Bobby" Frost (Cathy) of Duncan, SC, Claude Chaney (Myra) of Moundsville, WV, Virginia "Geannie" Gilpin (Ray) of Wellford, SC and Kim Sheets (Jimmy) of Fairmont, WV; his sister Helena Jo Nida (Ray "Guts") of Barboursville, WV; his grandchildren, Bobby Frost (Linnea), Lauren Frost, Olivia Frost (Zachary Prewitt), Matthew Frost, Jessica Yath (Roth), Benjamin Chaney (Laura), Andrew Chaney (Lacie), Wyatt Sheets (McKenzie Bostick), Heidi Sheets (Chris Griffith), Magnus Sheets (Shelbie Hillberry), Garrett Crumbliss (Taylor) and Jonathan Haskins; and his great grandchildren, Colton, Madison Frost, Aiden, Gavin, Stella Yath, Addilyn, Brooklyn Chaney, Brantley McLaughlin, Alexis Thomas and Waylon Chaney.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Holiness Church (2337 Old Weston Rd, Buckhannon, WV 26201). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
