She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles James and Hazel Mae Tackett (Currence); her husband G. Vane Howard; her daughter Maxine Winans Swiger; her grandchildren, Holly Howard Greynolds, Charles Junior Hayhurst and Donna Wright; her sons-in-law, Charles L. Hayhurst and Kenneth Swiger; Liny Taylor (Wilson), Tiny Croston (Bill), Mary Herron (Paul), Kathleen Pingley (Emery), Bonnie Rhodes, Lonnie Tackett and Frank Tackett.
She is survived by: her children, Eileen Hayhurst of Wallace and Michael Howard of Fairmont; her grandsons, Brian Winans (Paula) of Shinnston and David Hayhurst of Wallace; her grandson-in-law Billy Wright; her great grandchildren, Ryan Howard, Anthony Winans, Billy Wright (Ariana), Marie Haught (Jimmy), Allison Winans, Andrea Fedio, Chaz Hayhurst, Logan Hayhurst and Kailey Greynolds; and her sister Irene Phillips (Bill). She is also survived by eight great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Perine Funeral Home (1348 S Pike St, Shinnston, WV 26431). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
