She was predeceased by: her husband Pat J. Shafer; her daughter Joyce Deon Shafer Blake; her mother Crystal; her siblings, Samuel Sampson, James Sampson, Charles Sampson, Betty Graham and Gloria Parker; and also Dayton Sampson.
She is survived by: her brother Daniel Sampson of Martinsburg, WV; her children, David Wayne Shafer (Roberta) of Brownsburg, IN and Pat Geary Shafer (Laura) of Mathews, NC; her grandchildren, Kimberly Shafer Rundstrum (Kirk), Corey Shafer, Brandon Shafer, Nathaniel Shafer (Carissa) and Erin Blake; her great grandchildren, Jeremy, Tim, Warren, Aerielle, Sabrena, Alexis, Evan and Elliot; and her great great grandchild Bentley.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stump-Matics Fuenral Home (847 Chapel Heights, Elkview, WV 25071). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Stump-Matics Funeral Home (8539 Elk River Rd, Clendenin, WV 25045).
