James Seabolt Obituary

We announce the death of James Seabolt of Falling Waters, West Virginia, who passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 87. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his significant other Nancy Seabolt (Lettman); and his stepson Carl Ford. He is survived by: his parents, Roy Seabolt and Hassie Seabolt; his stepson Mark Ford (Sonya Reel); his grandchildren, Heather Thompson (Ford), Christopher Ford, Jacob Ford and Cassandra Ford; his great grandchildren, Landon Thompson and Vincent Ford; his niece Michelle Anderson; his brothers, Grover Cope and Ralph Cope; and his cousins, David Cope and Betty Cope.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Jl Davis Funeral Home (12525 Bradbury Ave, Smithsburg, MD 21783). A reception will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Smithsburg Lions Club Park (12835 Bikle Rd, Smithsburg, MD 21783).
