He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Albert Whetsell and Ethel Loretta Wilt Whetsell; his wife Barbara Ann Lease Whetsell; and his daughter Donna J. Whetsell. He is survived by: his children, Clifton E. Whetsell (Coreena) of Myrtle Beach, SC, David W. Whetsell (Sherry) of Spotsylvania, VA, Keith A. Whetsell (Dixie) of Oxford, AL. and Kristine M. Beckner (Greg) of Pass Christian, Mississippi. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
