He is survived by: his children, Harry Steptoe, Jr. and Heather Steptoe Brussard (Richard); his grandchildren, Cynthia Fullard, Quincy Fullard of Morgantown, Devin Steptoe, Landon Steptoe and Amber Steptoe of Las Vegas, NV; his child Tracy Barr; his helpers, Ralphie and Beth Sumlin; and his nephew Spencer Powell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
