He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Johnson and Freda Adkins Johnson; and his brother Author Johnson (Mike). He is survived by: his wife Harriet Ida Johnson; his children, Dennis Johnson II (Denise), Debra Morris (Eric) and Irene "Tina" Rogers (Mark); his siblings, Lonnie Johnson (Drema) and Gale Milam (Carl); his grandchildren, Colton Johnson, Cintry Johnson, Jake Sellers, Brandon Morris and Amanda Jeffries; and his pet Clay. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
