He is survived by: his wife Lillie Patterson Mandakunis; his sons, John Nicholas Mandakunis of Flat Top, WV, James Bruce Mandakunis (Marilyn) of Kodak, TN and Jason Scott Mandakunis (Kimberly) of Oak Hill, WV.; his grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Mandakunis of Flat Top, WV and Evan Scott Mandakunis of Oak Hill, WV; and his great grandchild Dante James Sexton of Flat Top, WV..

Visitation was held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Assembly of God (319 Sunset Dr, Beckley, WV 25801).
