With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Nathan Tyler Shaffer of Flatwoods, West Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Nathan left this world on March 20, 2026 at the age of 30, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He is survived by: his parents, Mike Shaffer and Amy Browning Shaffer (Sierra); his wife Sierra Shaffer; his sister Kristen Grose (Jacob); his grandparents, Dairrell, Sally Browning, Orville and Patty Shaffer; his uncle Brandon Browning; and his aunt Cindy Faulkner (Shaffer). He is also survived by her family, Nathan leaves behind many friends and family.
Nothing would mean more to Nathan than supporting the future generation of bass fishermen, so in lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Bass Nation WV Youth in Nathan's honor. If you choose to donate, checks can be made payable to BNWV Youth and given to Sierra Shaffer to turn in to the organization.
