Adam McCord Obituary
Adam McCord, age, 48, a resident of Flemington, WV., passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at his residence he had been in declining health however his passing was unexpected.
He was born into this life in Philippi on September 20, 1977, the youngest child of Frances Marie (Cain) McCord of Galloway, and the late Walter Roscoe McCord.
A loving husband to his wife, the former Charlene Alice Criss, they were married on June 19, 2010, he was a steadfast partner, supporting her through life's journey with unwavering devotion and kindness. Together, they cultivated a warm and welcoming home in Flemington, where friends and family gathered to share stories, laughter, and the joys of life. Adam's spirit was bright, inspiring those around him to appreciate the simple yet profound moments of every day.
He was the father of one son; Arthur David McCord II, and fiancé Rose Bennett of Flemington, daughters; Samantha Phares, and husband Paul of Bridgeport, Tia McCord and Hazel McCord both of Flemington, a nephew that he thought of his own son; Jonathan Arbogast and fiancé Suzie Light of Buckhannon, grandchildren; Aubrey Collins, Adalynn Collins, Brayden Collins, Bryleigh Collins, and Karsyn Collins all of Bridgeport, Lincoln Ford McCord of Flemington, brothers; Daniel Paul McCord of Clarksburg, and Joey Brown of PA., sisters; Violet "Sissy" Bressler, and husband Jackie of Galloway, and Brenda McCallister, and husband Ernie of Philippi, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Preceding him in death beside his father was his maternal grandmother; Rosie Cain, and a brother; Walter William "Bucky" McCord.
Adam was a simple man, he loved being outdoors, whether it was working as a mechanic, trimming trees for Custom Tree Trimming of Flemington, working for the Reger's in Simpson, hunting, motorcycles, fishing, and camping. Most of all he loved his family, especially his kids and grand babies. He was known for his gentle nature, quick wit, and ability to bring a smile to anyone's face. His presence will be sorely missed, and his memory will serve as a reminder of the warmth and love that abound in times shared together. Adam will be missed by all those that had the privilege of knowing him. He will be truly missed by his children, grandchildren and the rest of his cousins, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may gather at the Kittle Family Funeral Home on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 1 pm until 5 pm. In honoring Aadm's wishes his remains will be cremated. THE FAMILY HAS ASKED THAT FLOWERS BE OMITED AND TO OFFSET THE COST OF HIS FUNERAL EXPENSES THAT DONATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED HERE ONLINE OR TO THE FUNERAL HOME ADDRESS.
