She was predeceased by : her parents, Q. D. White and Ennis Fern White (Keys); and her husband Eugene Earle Thorn. She is survived by : her son Christopher "Shawn" Thorn of Grafton; her grandson Hayden Wesley Thorn; and her sister Carolyn K. Monohan of Princeton, WV. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She participated in the Benedum Foundation as well as the Special Needs Inclusion Project (SNIP).
